With the size of bedrooms getting smaller, it is becoming more and more important to maximize storage space. For many, the single bed with storage is the answer. These beds are available in many different types and styles with the single point on commonality storage space, often in the form of drawers, and more than likely, under the bed unit itself.

There are countless styles and designs of these beds with the most common being the “Captains Bed”. Contrary to popular belief though, this is not the only single bed out there that has storage options for you to think about when researching options.

Storage space does not have to be just drawers under the unit. Although this is the most popular, there are also units that have many shelves surrounding the headboard that also serves as storage. Some of these headboards even have additional drawers in them as well. Depending on how high you can deal with the mattress of the single bed, you can have two rows of three drawers each. The drawers can either be very deep (doing almost the width of the entire mattress) or relatively shallow but with a set of either side of the bed. Most people prefer the two sets since the very deep drawers can be difficult to manage and get clothes in and out of when needed.
